Method
How we source
One rule runs the site: a fact without a source does not get published. It is enforced by a test — a record with no source fails the build.
Three kinds of source
Official The publisher's own site, account or press release. The only kind that can confirm anything.
Store listing An App Store or Google Play listing. Real and first-hand for things like size, rating and languages — but "expected" dates there are placeholders entered so pre-orders can open, and they move.
Reported Named third-party reporting. Used when the publisher has said nothing, and labelled so you can weigh it.
What you will not find here before launch
Tier lists, drop rates, damage numbers, "best teams". Before a game is out these come from closed betas whose data was wiped and whose balance will change, or from nowhere at all. Pages say "not published yet" instead.
Pages are generated
Every page is built from one data file per game. The sentences that compare things — who shares a weapon, which class is largest, how far pre-registration has come — are computed from that file, so they cannot drift from the facts. If something is wrong, it is wrong in one place and fixed in one place.
Artwork
We use none of the publishers'. Characters get a sigil — an initial on their class colour with their weapon mark — and the icons are drawn for this site.
Independence
RaidPeek is a fan project with no relationship to any publisher. It is funded by advertising.
